Datuk Dr. Idzu is a medical doctor, biomedical innovator, certified aesthetician, and accomplished medical technopreneur. He was appointed CEO and later Managing Director of Cell Tissue Group, a pioneering UKM spin-off company in the fields of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine. Cell Tissue provides solutions to medical problems, focusing on skin loss. His passion for this industry comes from his experience as a medical doctor, where he encountered many cases of major skin loss and non-healing wounds, often causing extreme pain from both the wounds and their treatments. In addition to his role as an M.D., Datuk Dr. Idzu spent years innovating new technologies in aesthetic medicine and wound management while expanding Cell Tissue. As a result, he was awarded the MEGAGist Award and recognized as a ‘Transformer of Excellence’ by the U.S. Department of State, ranking among the top 1% of over 1,500 ventures in 54 countries under President Barack Obama’s administration.
